Adv. Bhaskaran C is a senior Advocate practicing before the High Court of Kerala and various lower courts for more than 36 years. A dedicated socialist thinker, political observer, and legal strategist, he has actively contributed to public life through law, politics, journalism, and social service.
Inspired by the ideologies of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and George Fernandes, he has held several leadership roles in student movements, political organisations, and social welfare initiatives across Kerala. He is also the founder of “Indian Law Service,” Chairman of Law Foundation Trust, a social activist, media commentator, author, and publisher committed to constitutional awareness, democracy, and social justice.

Achievements & Milestones

1983 – 1984

Student Leadership at Madappally College, Vatakara. Pursued B.A. Politics and was elected as Fine Arts Secretary of the College Union, marking the beginning of his leadership journey in student politics.

1983 – 1985

Kerala Vidyarthi Janata (KVJ) Leadership. Served as President of KVJ Madappally College Unit, President of KVJ Vatakara Taluk Committee, and Secretary of KVJ Kozhikode District Committee.

 

1985 – 1986

State Committee Leadership. Held key leadership roles in the State Committee of Kerala Vidyarthi Janata during the tenure of former ministers Mathew T. Thomas and Varghese Thomas.

1987 – 1992

Governance & Political Formation. Worked closely with former Kerala Ministers P. R. Kurup and K. Chandrasekharan (Education & Law), gaining deep exposure to governance, administration, and political organisation.

 

1990

Janata Party State Office. Served as Office Assistant Secretary of the Janata Party State Committee Office, Thiruvananthapuram, during its tenure in the ruling establishment.

 

1996

Yuva Samata Kerala Leadership. Became President of Yuva Samata, the youth wing of the Samata Party in Kerala.

 

1997

Legislative Assembly Election. Contested the Kerala Legislative Assembly Election as candidate from Vatakara Constituency.

1999

Janata Dal State Secretary. Appointed as State Secretary of Janata Dal under the leadership of Dr. Neela Lohithadas Nadar.

 

2004

Return to Janata Dal (United). Rejoined Janata Dal (United) led by George Fernandes after resigning from the Janata Dal secretary position, continuing commitment to Lohiaite socialist ideology.

2021

State-Level Leadership Roles. Served as State Vice President of Janata Dal (United), Kerala, and Chairman of Lohia Socialist Forum Kerala State Committee.

2023

National & Community Leadership. Currently serving as President of Akhila Kerala Padmasaliya Sangham – Kerala State Committee, and National Secretary of Akhila Bharath Padmasaliya Sangham – All India Committee.
